2018 System Redesign
Below is an interactive map that shows SMTD's proposed bus system redesign for 2018. Click here to open it in a new window/tab.
Click on this FINAL LIST OF CHANGES to the re-designed routes that have happened since Public Comment to see the details. Changes occurred based on further on-street testing, comments received from the public, safety issues discovered during testing and scheduling concerns. These changes have all been reflected in the route maps available on this website as soon as the changes were made. Included in this list is the REPLACEMENT of the DOWNTOWN SHUTTLE with a new 30-minute Downtown Route that includes the hospitals. Extremely low ridership through discounted fares and high levels of advertising over nearly showed no demand for this type of high-frequency service downtown. The new route is an attempt to mitigate problems without eliminating the route altogether.
