| Historical Sites Route |
| The historical sites route serves all of the historical and tourist sites in Springfield as well as the downtown hotels. Service begins at 8:15 a.m. Monday through Saturday and buses run every 30 minutes. The last bus leaving the transfer center goes only to the Museum and the Visitor Center and leaves at 5:45 p.m. The map and schedule for this route may be viewed on the Routes and Schedules page in the list to the left. |

Day Tickets may be purchased, which allow passengers to ride the historic route and all other SMTD routes for the day of purchase. The cost of the day ticket is $3.00. When you board a Historic Route bus, ask the driver for a DAY TICKET and deposit $3.00 in the farebox. Regular cash fares to ride per trip are $1.00. Transfers are free.
