Preparations for the 2026 Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon will affect bus service starting at 1:30 PM on Friday, April 10th. At that time, Route 4 will detour inbound around the Old State Capitol and stop 1216 at the northeast corner of the plaza will not be in service. The same inbound detour will be in effect for Route 903 for the rest of the night.
The marathon runs from 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday morning and routes 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, and 12 will detour around the race path throughout the city. When routes are able to be put back onto regular route it happen from south to north when the last runners/walkers leave route areas.
At 11 AM, any remaining participants will be moved to the sidewalks. At which time all remaining routes on detour will be placed back on regular route.
